Working with Redbird Therapy Centre
Mental Wellness has been partnering with Redbird Therapy since 2026 to provide high-quality therapy at a reasonable cost.
Redbird Therapy provides the therapists who run many of the Peer+ support groups. Their therapists and therapist-in-training come to the groups with their own lived experience, and thus offer a unique perspective to clients in the meetings. By attending a Peer+ support group you get the benefits of the support of peers (people who have “walked a mile in your shoes”) and the insights that only a professional therapist can offer.
In addition, by attending a Peer+ meeting you can have an opportunity to see what the therapist who facilitates the meeting is like. This can assist you in deciding if that therapist would be a good fit for you if you choose to get one-on-one therapy.
New Horizons for Seniors Program, Government of Canada
The New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) community-based stream is a federal grant. It supports projects that are designed by seniors and for seniors in their communities. This program funds projects that empower seniors in their communities through increased social inclusion.
Working with the New Horizons for Seniors Program, Government of Canada
The New Horizons for Seniors Program has supported the Mental Wellness Support Groups since 2025. Their support has meant that we have been able to open up new in-person locations (such as at 310 Danforth Avenue) to help support the older people in our community.

Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back.

The local Rotary clubs have been an extraordinary help to our mission. From the very earliest days Rotary clubs have offered their financial support. Without a doubt, had it not been for Rotary clubs, our organization would not have been able to grow to support so many people. Jodi assists with the daily management of the groups and so she has a good understanding of the needs of our different clients and how to be support them.
